Beyond that: the timing loop is genuinely readable, the upgrade draws make runs differ from one another, and at $4.99 the commitment is roughly one coffee.

The case against

The most-replied complaint thread at launch is titled Thats it? and asks where the extra voice lines, outfits and modes are. That is the honest ceiling of this game — you will see everything it contains fairly quickly, and what remains is chasing a higher number.

One negative review quoted on the game’s Steam hub also calls the pace slow before enough speed upgrades stack up, which matches what the early minutes of the playthroughs look like.
